BLAKELY Located in a wing of the M.D. Anderson Memorial Library, the College of Law instructs student- so that graduates can practice law wherever the Anglo-American sys- irni of law prevails. Other objectives of the College include training students in the fundamental techniques <>f law and the imparling of an understanding of the high nature of the profession. DEAN Newell II. Blakely entered the service of the University of Houston as an assistant professor of law in L949. He assumed the position of dean in 1957.
