Transcript Dean William R. Jenkins Silo celebrates a changing American flag. The College of Architecture literally shaped the future of things to come. With an extensive 5 year program, the students were exposed to the many and varied facets of architecture. To insure an even broader education, visiting lecturers were in residence for varying lengths of time to present different points of view to the students, and thus allowed them more freedom in forming their own particular style. Many times, architecture as an art form goes unrecognized; unique in that it is a delicate blend of inherent creative talent and unerring scientific precision. However, the students' training was not limited to the classroom, as they viewed daily the work of their peers. Then they formed opinions and made value judgements which moulded the course their Playground begins taking shape. personal designs took. By mid-year the students and ideas made theii mark on the campus. A term project took the form of colorful playground equipment. Most notable of all the students' undertakings was a storage silo decorated in a bicentennial motif the first official herald of the celebration to be seen on the UN campus college of architecture 264 Architecture
