Transcript | The College of Optometry functioned only as the springboard for the student embarking upon a career in the optical field. To insure the highest quality education, the student-teacher ratio was kept low with high standards for admission. Counseling for pre- optometry students from all schools, not only UH, aided all those interested in entering the prominent school. The number of prospective entrants was expected to sharply increase with a long overdue departmental move into a new building which provided over twice the space of the presently overcrowded facilities and created many new staff positions and student learning opportunities. 260 Optometry |
