Transcript | Although just barely one year old, the College of Humanities and Fine Arts had already made a place for itself in the university community. Under the guidance of newly confirmed Dean John C. Guilds, the college began to take steps toward solidifying the curriculum and career training for its potential graduates. Some of the departments affected by this upgrading were Art and Interdisciplinary Studies which were expanded to make their respective programs more professional in content. Two other departments profited also from the college-wide renovations. Communications and Drama were recipients of a new $4 million building which began construction in December 75.
