Transcript | In a world where the only definite thing was uncertainty, the need for those equipped to handle the resulting problems grew larger. The UH Graduate School of Social Work helped to fill its quota of the social worker requirement. The students received much of their training through actual work experience in many of the local professional and volunteer organizations in the Houston-Galveston area. All this added up to a greater public awareness than ever before, which resulted in an increased student enrollment, and better undergraduate planning for future involvement in the field of human relations.
