Transcript | society of women engineers Women promote career benefits With a primary interest in making the public aware of the role women can play in the expanding career of engineering, the Society of Women Engineers completed a fruitful year of endeavors. Starting at the university level, members held a luncheon to acquaint fellow students with the chapter. Later, women served as guides at the department's high school visitation day. On a wider scope, the chapter took part in the Houston Science Fair and the organization's national convention. Located across campus from the A. D. Bruce Religion Center, the complex provided ample office space for the growing association and lovely surroundings for student fellowship.
