Transcript Fair ritual comes off despite unseasonal weather Under a blanket of threatening gray clouds, small groups of UHers stretched out for yet another stab at what used to be the free fair. The growing opinion of many was rooted into PC's name for the semi-annual event, "It Ain't Fair." During the 13 hours, PC presented almost continuous music, earth games, a juggler, a kite display, a performance by the Houston Ballet, and plenty of refreshments. Bands for the fair were the All American Chicano Band, Willis Alan Ramsey, Arizona, Starcost, St. Elmo's Fire, and the Michael Mercoulier Band. Gil Scott- Heron, Brian Jackson and the Midnight Band and Bubba Thomas and the Lightmen ended the fair. And for something completely different, "Monty Python's Flying Circus," "Fantastic Plant," and "Pigs vs. Freaks" were screened after dark. Right Balanced on an unsturdy milk carton, this UHer awaits the start of the next rope pull. Below This trombone player puts all he has into his solo at the spring fair in Lynn Eusan Park. Right The AmeriStar provides a good resting place for those able to find a vacant point. 98 Spring Fair
