Transcript | we are the warmakers and the peacemakers Normally unoccupied deep-thinkers and side-takers were provoked into activity with the development of a number of divisive issues. Panhellenic's fall split-up over full membership of black sororities spurred the first controversy of the year, and the peace reached before the semester's end proved to be only short-lived. Mission Self-Study escaped almost year-long anonymity shortly before its approval in the spring. Those factions quickly formed to fight its acceptance gave up after the final passage of the plan by the Board of Regents, but no one quite fully understood the conditions of surrender or their implications.
