Transcript DR. JAMES R. WHITEHURST HEALTH SERVICES DIRECTOR (TOP) While not the favorite hangout of the UH set, the student medical center is an essential part of the UH campus. The center is staffed by four physicians, of which Dr. Whitehurst is one. As director of medical services on campus, Dr. Whitehurst tries to provide both faculty and students with competent medical attention. Prom eye tests to asthma or a cut finger, the afflictions are efficiently dealt with by the medical center. ROBERT H. MILSTEAD PLACEMENT CENTER DIRECTOR (BOTTOM) "We are concerned with career counseling for students as undergraduates as well as for seniors who would like career jobs as graduates." "At graduation, students are eligible to go through both fall and spring interviews as employers come to campus . . . Our counselors had over 15,000 interviews last year." "A student was concerned because so many of the business degrees were not being placed by us. This is fact. There are not jobs for these people. We're concerned." "Our biggest problem is communication with students, whether freshmen or seniors." 253
