Transcript | The Court Session UH Royalty Presented At Homecoming Game BY: Casey Garrett stars for an evening, the homecoming court poses for a group photo after the halftime ceremony, the court was selected based on grades and campus involvement. Photo By: Edmond Vahedi Court was in session during halftime with the presentation of the 1996 Homecoming Court, including King Jason Casero and Queen April Erickson. Finalists were chosen based on GPA, extracurricular activities, community service, leadership skills and school spirit. Queen candidates were April Erickson, senior chemical engineering major, Jennifer Kanak, junior HRM major, Brenda Johnson, senior psychology/history major, Melanie Orange, junior journalism major and Lee Doherty, senior HRM major. King candidates were Jason Casero, senior architecture/finance major, Daniel Magill, senior theatre major, Michael Sachs, senior political science major, Joel Westra, senior political science major and Ryan Wolverton, senior HRM major. "It was an honor to work with the student leaders this year. These are more than just titles; they need to show everyone our pride in our university;' said former Homecoming Queen and 1996 King and Queen Chair Cheyenna Smith. Student Life The UH Delta upsilon fraternity brought home the trophy for the most Homecoming spirit. The trophy is given each year to the organization which does the most to promote Homecoming.
