Transcript | COUGAR GOLFERS STRONG Always strong, the Cougar golf team figures to be even rougher this year and boast a veteran squad. At presstime, UH golfers had played four matches: two with Rice and one each with Texas A. & M. and North Texas State. The Cougars handed the Aggies a 6-1 licking and then were tied by Rice, 5-5. Improving, the Red and White played a rematch against the Owls and this time won, 8-4. But the North Texas Eagles from Denton, defending National Intercollegiate champs and favorites for the Gulf Coast Conference, proved stronger than the Cougars and UH came out on the short end of a 51/->-1/L> count. Led by Ed Kingsbury, the Cougars placed fourth in the recent Fort Worth Exposition against a field of 18 colleges and universities.
