Left to SCHOOL OF TECHNOLOGY The School of Technology, with enrollment spiraling at each registration, shows perhaps more than any other School, the University's desire to serve in offering Houston every type of training. A look at the Tech School's curriculum shows why this is true. Types of training offered include aeronautics, architecture, automotive mechanics, communications (radio and electronic), drafting, electricity, industrial mechanics, internal combustion engines, nursing assistants program, photography, refrigeration and air conditioning, and stationary engineering. Proof that the Tech School is active in extra- curricu- lar as well as curricular matters is seen in the 1950 Frontier Fiesta where the Refrigeration Service Engineers Society completed construction on their show before any other show. Tech School students also wired Fiesta City. At left, two electricity students learn how to control current, listen to a lecture in aircraft motor class. Above, students |
