ART Still Life painting is essential. Excellent facilities aid the art department in giving prospective artists a series of courses beginning with drawing, color, composition, design, lettering, and other fundamentals. Advanced students receive instruction in clay modeling, sculpture, commercial art, and cartooning. Biology students familiarize themselves with "Susie". BIOLOGY Starting with basic courses in botany and zoology, biology students as well as pharmacy and pre-med majors gain insight •nto the world of biology by intensive laboratory work accompanied by explanatory lectures as they advance into the study of comparative anatomy and histological techniques.
