Transcript | Aaron Farfel Chairman of the Board since the fall of 1971, Aaron Farfel has had a direct hand in the growth of the University of Houston. Farfel is also board chairman of Funds, Inc. and a director of Dunhill International, Inc., director of A. G. Spalding Inc., and Ben Franklin Savings and Loan Association. Prior to his election as chairman of the University of Houston Board of Regents he served as vice chairman. He was appointed to the board in 1963 by Gov. John Connally. He graduated from New York City College and Houston Law School. Travis C. Johnson A former County Judge and first Assistant County Attorney for El Paso County, Travis Johnson is presently practicing law in El Paso. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University and received his law degree from the University of Houston. In 1969 he was appointed to the Board of Regents by Gov. Preston Smith. He is also a member of the Governor's Committee of 500, member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Law Enforcement Foundation and the Texas Council for Higher Education. 298 Board of Regents |
