Transcript | Pharmacy Students eye future jobs Diversified careers are available in teaching, research, manufacturing and distribution of drugs for the pharmacist. Houston's College of Pharmacy offered a five-year program designed to prepare the student for the expanded future of the druggist in medical service. Following two years of pre- pharmacy, the student with satisfactory credentials was admitted to the professional school. The pharmacist had to compile at least 1,000 hours of professional experience before he or she could be licensed to practice in Texas. above right: Pharmacy graduate student Hamid Sadooghi performs independent research, above left: A contemplative student utilizes the Pharmacy Library, right: Dean Joseph P.
