Transcript | Top Ten Commitments effect change Working with individual faculty, administrators, and students to achieve goals and effect change has been a large commitment in the life of Douglas Holbrook. "Being a freshman orientation advisor, a dormitory advisor and a tutor for veterans has encouraged me to take the initiative to correct the faults and problems that are inherent in a large metropolitan university. Being elected senator in the business college gave me formal sanction to deal with this area, and I have used channels provided to encourage student participation. "Work at the university is not rare, but achievement of results takes total commitment which is a rarity in many areas of a commuter campus. In 1973,1 was given the opportunity to revive AIESEC and with the help of the business community and the University administration, the organization has grown into the most successful in the United States. "My association with this effort has given me the confidence to reach goals that before were personally unthinkable." Top Ten 211 |
