Transcript | Team shows scoring punch Led by senior All-American Louis Dunbar's 24.3 points per game and silky-smooth Otis Birdsong's 24.6 scoring clip, the Cougars faced perennial national powers like Louisville, North Carolina, South Carolina, Cincinnati and Stanford. Giant center Maurice Presley chipped in 14 points each game and was extremely tough on defense. Forward David Marrs came through in clutch situations, scoring big when necessary. With this offensive power, the Coogs finished the season as one of the top scoring clubs in the nation. right: Dunbar demonstrates his soft touch bank shot to his South Carolina opponent. 134 Basketball |
