Transcript | Productions show talent "Variety" best describes the spring productions of the UH drama department. Richard B. Sheridan's "School for Scandal" humorously reflected England during the late period of the eighteenth century. Drama department chairman Sidney Berger directed "Oh, What a Lovely War," a musical satire of World War I. Also, the speech department Readers' Theatre presented "The Nineteenth Great American Laugh," a series of 13 short skits from the 1800's. left: Brick Hartney, Art Yelton and Tommy Rogers take part in a gas attack satire scene from "Oh, What a Lovely War." below: Tommy Rogers, Annale Jefferies and Art Yelton parade while carrying the national flag of England.
