Transcript | UN diplomats spread hope The UN gave UH a taste of diplomacy on October 21, when UN Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim and US Ambassador John Scali visited the campus along with other dignitaries. Inevitable protesters sprouted up around campus with placards addressed to different international problems. However, the UN gave the campus a taste of something not many people get to experience — that is, an intermingling of many people from many places and many beliefs, all who were getting along with each other. left: Waldheim proposes world harmony, below: Louie Welch, Dr. Hoffman, Kurt Waldheim and Mayor Fred Hofheinz pause for a brief moment of inner meditation.
