The professor also had the chance to observe the black market in action. In the subway he noticed the sudden convergence of people around a man whose over coat was filled with salami. All of the man's wares were sold immediately. It appeared to Pinsky that the KGB were more interested in apprehension of foreigners in illegal activities than with their own people. Pinsky's other travels haven't been so grim. His trips to Switzerland, Italy and Germany have included many beautiful and delicious cuisines. And on occasion he is accompanied by his wife or one of his three children.
