Transcript | Both Track Squads Finish in top 20 Houston's women placed 14th at the NCAA Outdoor championships and tied for 17th at the indoors, while the men finished 15th at the NCAA championships. Kirk Baptiste won the 200-meter championship and is representing the United States in the Olympics in Los Angeles. He finished third in the 100-meter championship. Carole Lewis, also an Olympian, helped the Coogs to an upset of the favored Texas Longhorns at the SWC championships. Jackie Washington won the 100- and 200- meter races and set a record in the 200- meter race.
