Transcript EDUCATION Kappa Delta Pi MEMBERS: Virginia Ray, Ruth Gillespie, JoAnn Giesenschlag, Shirley Hendricks, Janice Johnstone, Pauline Oliver, Charlotte Farley, Sheila Liles, Glenda Taylor, Vera Lewallen, Dr. Christine Brannan. Honorary Recognizes Achievement Kappa Delta Pi seeks to maintain a high degree of professional fellowship among its members and to quicken professional growth by honoring achievement in educational work. An honorary in education, it encourages outstanding professional, intellectual, and personal standards and recognizes contributions in education. Membership is open, to persons who exhibit commendable personal qualities, worthy educational ideals ami sound scholarship. As a service project, a $100 scholarship is awarded yearly to an outstanding junior in the Zeta Omega chapter. Social events include a birthday banquet in January and a spring initiation and tea. EDUCATION SEA Prepares Teachers Student Education Association provides members with opportunities for practical experience in working together on community and professional problems on the local, state, and national levels to develop skills in cooperative action and leadership. The group tries to prepare its members to become teachers by offering all the opportunities, responsibilities, and privileges of student membership in the National Education Association, the Texas State Teachers Association, the Teachers Education and Professional Standards Association and the Texas Student Education Association.
