Transcript | Candidatesstudents urge involvement Above, Rep. Curtis Graves stumps for Democrats in front of UC. Student asks for Wallace support, above center. Right, Eggers urges change in leadership of the state. State Rep. Curtis Graves of Houston came to UH to cam- gaign for Vice-President Hubert Humphrey late in October. A debate, sponsored by Pi Sigma Sigma, political science fraternity, was held the day before the general election. Representatives of all the major candidates—Nixon, Humphrey and George Wallace—were involved in this well-attended debate. UH students also worked actively in local campaign organizations, with some political science professors requiring this of their classes.
