Transcript | STUDENT SERVICES Deans Work Closely With UH Students Students find friends as well as confidants in the Dean of Men and the Dean of Women. Activel) participating in ever) student undertaking that has been jointly sponsored 1>\ students and faculty is L. S. "Chief" Mitchell, Dean of Men. "Chief" sponsors the Interfraternity Council, Cougar Christmasland, Cougar Capers. Koobraey Ball, homecoming events, and the cheerleaders. He has been associated with student activities at the University since 1933. As Dean of Women, Mrs. Bessie M. Ebaugh also serves as advisor to Panhellenic and generally assists with all activities of women's organizations. The responsibilities of her position are demanding, but .11 years of experience in education has given hei ihe abilit) to match the scope of her profession. Dean Ebaugh tries to impress on her students, "If we are dedicated to the essentials of learning, we will be serving our community, a purpose we must nevei lose sight of." DEAN L. S.
