"In development, we are never satisfied because we always see more need than we've met," states Mr. Frede, in his position as Director of Development Projects and Executive Director of the University of Houston Foundation. It is his function to help meet the financial needs of the expanding university by presenting such needs to members of the community in hopes of obtaining their support. As Director of University Relations, Walter Williams is concerned with changes, improvements, and attitudes in the various facets of university life. Career Days, Honor Days, and commencement exercises come under his jurisdiction as he coordinates all activities with area high schools, as well as programs at the University itself. The Office of Information, which is responsible for the preparation and dissemination of all information pertaining to the University, is headed by Farris Block.
