Transcript | ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES DR. JOHN C. ALLRED Allred's Goal Is to Strengthen University Academic Program The addition of extension courses at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration this year can be attributed to the office of Dr. John C. Allred, Vice-President and Dean of Faculties. Dr. Allred also has been instrumental in gaining recent approval to issue doctoral degrees in English, history, political science, mathematics, and mechanical engineering. Dr. Allred's office is concerned with the total operation of the academic aspects of the University. He deals with the curriculum, faculty, and budget, in addition to supervising the colleges, libraries, research, internal affairs, ancl staff offices. "There is no more challenging university than the University of Houston," declares Dr. Allred. His future plans for the institution include further development of the graduate program, as well as strengthening of the total academic services. 17 |
