Kappa Epsilon's Service Projects Stimulate Goals Uniting women pharmacy students, Kappa Epsilon's aims are four-fold: to create rapport between faculty and students, to stimulate a desire for high scholarship, to foster professional consciousness, and to provide a bond of interest and friendship. To achieve these purposes, KE holds two pledgings during the year and provides various socials for new and old members to get together. Major projects last year included a directory of pharmacy students in the department and a display for "National Poison Prevention Week." KAM Shoots Photos for SA Exposure Weekend As the only organization for students interested in photography, Kappa Alpha Mu strives to create and improve relationships between amateur and professional photographers. KAM members receive practical experience in their field. Arrangements are made with various other organizations who desire photographic work at minimum fees. As a major spring project, KAM did all the photographic work for the Student Association's Exposure Weekend. This was compiled in a handbook distributed to over 500 high school students. Michael Callaway, Bob Arthur, Bridgett Habenicht, Irene Salinas, Gary Pearcy, Lotus Cherry (treasurer), Dud Fagan (president), Thorn Cammack, Edith Bell (secretary), King Wong (advisor). 406 |
