Transcript | WOMEN'S INTRAMURALS Tennis, volleyball, badminton, archery, Softball, fencing and swimming—all are included in the women's athletic program under the direction of Miss Sue Garrison. Intramurals were conducted in most of these sports this year with much enthusiasm from the students. The Owls, a winning team last year, stepped into the spotlight this year by winning the volleyball and Softball tournaments. The Happy-Go-Lucky team received top honors in basketball. Claiming first place in the badminton tournament were partners Mary Ann Ingram and Betty Blakely. Table tennis winners were Shirley Levin and Rosalyn Littman. Miss Levin won the singles in table tennis also. Miss Levin and Shirley Duren were the winning partners in tennis. Archery winners were Ada Clark, Betty Blakely, Mary Auer, and Miss Duren. Miss Garrison is assisted in conducting the women's athletic department by Miss Lucile Fender and Miss Dorothy Jamison. MISS SUE GARRISON Director of Women's Physical Education W — 'i Target practice is a happy time for these modern day "Miss Robinhoods." "It's a bulls eye" for archery enthusiasts in the women's athletic department. Badminton makes up only a small part of the women's athletic program. 33 |
