Transcript Freda Bailey Nina Bryan PI DELTA Pi Delta was the first organized sorority on the University campus. It was founded January 4, 1940 and in honor of that date, each year a Founder's Day banquet is held. The purpose of Pi Delta is to promote closer friendship among girls and to promote social and charitable interest, and in pursuit of this aim they distribute baskets of food and clothing to needy families at Christmas and Thanksgiving. Besides the annual Founder's Day banquet and rush parties, the Pi Delts hold a Christmas dance honoring their pledges and an open house during the holidays. This year in Fiesta, the sorority members participated in the show "Fort Bull Run."
