Transcript | COLLEGE OF LAW LAW FACULTY — Standing: Mr. Frank, Mr. Olds. Seated: Mr. Blakely, Mr. Wellen. Three years ago the University School of Law opened its doors in the Junior College temporary building. With 15,000 books, and with a faculty which compares favorably with that of any other college of law in the country, the school, now known as the College of Law, moved into a new suite in the M. D. Anderson Memorial Library this past year. The highlights of the year from an academic standpoint was the "provisional approval" of the college by the American Bar Association after a "full dress" inspection of facilities and classroom and laboratory procedures. MR. A. A. WHITE Dean of College of Law COLLEGE OF PHARMACY After request by the Houston Pharmacy Liaison committee, in 1947, the University College of Pharmacy was opened. Courses in prescriptions, therapeutics, toxicology, and retail drugstore operation are offered by the college, under the direction of Dr. N. M. Ferguson. Students are aided by the college and the student placement center to secure pharmaceutical jobs to supplement their training. DR. N. M. FERGUSON Dean of College of Pharmacy PHARMACY FACULTY—Left to right: Dr. McElrath, Dr. Trupp, Mrs. Rouce, Dr. Freese, Dr. Collette, Mrs. Percival, Dr. Ferguson, Mrs. Jones, Dr. Owen. 172 |
