Transcript | G.M.S. Unit Begins First Year at UH . . . LT. COL. MOODY LAYFIELD Professor of Military Science and Tactics In its first year as a General Military Science Unit, the University R.O.T.C. plans to give two hours of academic credit to Military Science I and II cadets. By serving in the R.O.T.C. four years with six weeks summer training camp between the third and fourth years, a cadet receives a commission of second lieutenant in the Army Reserve. MAJOR FRED W.
