Transcript Phi Kappa... Founded at Brown University in 1889, Phi Kappa is distinguished from other social fraternities in that it lays down as a first principle the fellowship of faith. This means that the men living together in our colleges and universities are banded together to stand and uphold their Catholicity in the very face of unbelief and wavering religious convictions. The colors are white and gold. The flower is the ophelia rose. Phi Sigma Kappa . . . Founded in I87.'i at the I Diversity of Massachusetts upon the promotion of Friendship, the development of character and the stimulation ol scholarship . . . tins i>. Phi Si^ma Kappa. The colors are silvei and magenta. The flowei is the red carnation. Pi Kappa Alpha . . . Pi Kappa Alpha was founded at the University of Virginia on March 1, 1868. The design of the badge is a shield of white surmounted by a diamond in black. Upon the diamond are the three capitals "Pi K A" in gold. In the corners of the shield are the small Greek letters. The colors of the fraternity are garnet and old gold, and the flower is the lily of the valley.
