Transcript | Optometry College Rated First in Southwest Optometry Students Bennatt, Wry, back, and James McGinn, front, test the vision of Sherman Reed. A man is in need of glasses . . . the optometrist checks his eyes . . . and then prescribes the proper lenses. Students at the University are privileged to be a part of the only College of Optometry in the Southwest. Its general facilities include: an optometry clinic of ten fully equipped refracting rooms, an optical dispensary and prescription laboratory, an orthoptics and visual training section, and facilities for studying pathological conditions of the eyes, for fitting contact lenses and subnormal vision, and for performing other services rendered by optometrists. DR. CHARLES R. STEWART, Dean Grinding lenses requires many long hours of tedious work for J. C. Ashfee and Burton Diefel. Andrew Portales, Jesse Jackson, and Carroll Thigpon carry out one of the various procedures for correcting vision for James Slider. 35 |
