Transcript | Hopes for an unbeaten season end, Cats slam UH 7-0 Frustration was the key word in the Cougars only loss of the season which came at the hands of the Auburn Tigers in Jordan-Hare Stadium. The Auburn team responded to the 58,000 screaming fans by keeping the red machine from scoring. The Houston defense was almost as stingy in allowing Auburn to score only once and that coming early in the first quarter. But Auburn's six point lead was just too much for the Cougars to overcome on that Saturday afternoon in Alabama. The mad dogs converge on their target. LEFT: Quarterback D. C. Nobles pauses in a classic football pose as Don Mcintosh looks on with a pained expression. ABOVE: Donna Woodard's face mirrors the impending score. 110 111 |
