Transcript | The Art Club President SIGR1D L.. JACOBSON Vice President GENE PADON ROBINSON Secretary JEAN MILLER Treasurer ELIZABETH KENNEDY Sponsor F. W. BROWNE The University of Houston Art Club was organized in 1940 for art students and students interested in art. Although it is mainly a social organization, the club has done much to stimulate art interest in the university student body. The main project for the year was the painting of posters for the advertisement of the operetta, '"Waltz Dream. ' The club, as a group, made a trip to the art museum to view the collection of paintings done by F. W. Browne, the sponsor. They also had numerous other social functions on and off the campus. |
