Transcript | The 1342 Houstonian VAL JEAN McCOY Sponsor The 1942 Houstonian has gone to press this year against all odds, but in spite of this, no annual has ever received greater support of the student body. The staff this year has been one of the largest in the history of the Houstonian. The members have worked without thought of reward or without hope of recognition in an effort to record the events on the campus during this historic year. Many students, too numerous to name, have worked faithfully in an effort to make this annual a bigger and better book. To them, whatever their job may have been, we wish to send our thanks. Acknowledgments also to Rodney AIsup, Frank Colby and Roger Bleike for the magnificent job they did on the snapshot pages. To Betty Yates and Boots Merritt, who have worked so faithfully throughout the year, we would like to say thank you. To members of the freshman class for their work goes our deep appreciation. With the work that so many freshmen have done we can rest assured that the Houstonian will exist for a long time to come on our campus. Especially would we like to thank Barbara Grubb for all those hours she has spent so willingly at the typewriter. The Houstonian could never have reached press without the help of Velma Galny, N. S. Patterson and the Cougar. For all their help we are deeply grateful. Io the 1943 Houstonian best of luck, may you profit by our mistakes, that your book may be btggei and better than this we have published. To our readers may you find that which you seek in this book, now and in time to come. |
