Transcript | February 7—Student Council sponsored first assembly of year—And were we glad to finally get it. February 13—Girl Cougars defeated Southern Pacific—Score 52 to 21—Boy, are our girls good?? February 16—Third Annual Sophomore Prom—Stag Line, Stagger line Beauties, and how!! February 21—"Ghost Parade" presented— Brother, did our new Prof. Mitchell strut his stuff.—Junior College students just wish all their profs would be as good sponsors—Cast dined at Le Blanc's afterward. March 7—Graduates made future plans—George Lewis elected president. March 16—Junior College Debate team met Hogg debating Society—Debate Team of University of Texas in non-decision debate—Allen and Tommy kinda poured it on those University boys. March 16—Freshman Dance at University Club—A ripping good time was had by all. April 6—Graduates Banquet at Carolina Pines—Some got lost in the forest— Prof Henderson led with many humorous anecdotes. April 23-27—Election of most beautiful, Ellen Newman, and most popular, Marjorie Willke, to represent University at High School reception. April 28-29—Girls' Outdoor Club sponsored bay party at Casa Del Vlar—Was it a "bay" party or a "boy" party? May 1—University of Houston established—Will be operating June 4 with official opening of summer school term—Boy, we grew up and got our long pants at last. May 4—Seventh Annual Reception for senior high schools—And were those high school gals beautiful??—Got to get them to the University of Houston next fall. May 16—Dramatic Club presented "Children of the Moon"—One more achievement of the Dramatic Club. May 21—Finals began—And we burned some more of that midnight oil. May 27—Baccalaureate—You had that tight feeling around your throat. May 30—Annual came out—Praises be, says this editor. June 1—Graduation, Buffalo Stadium at 8 p.m.—"Not the end. but the beginning—Other goals set for the winning." FINIS |
