Title Peuples, Voyes Ce Que Sont Les Rois: Leur Histoire Est L'Histoire De Vos Miseres
Alternative Title People, Behold What Kings Are: Their History Is The History Of Your Miseries
Creator (Local)

Description This is a political caricature related to the Franco-Prussian War of 1870 or the Paris Commune of 1871.
Caption Caption: English translation: "Here they are both nailed to the post of infamy, these two wretches, one has betrayed his country after having, for twenty years, stolen from it and oppressed it; and the other, to satisfy his unbridled ambition, has spilled streams of blood. Shame and execration on these crowned executioners! That the cries of the many thousands of victims rise from the bottom of their graves to shout upon them: Anathema! Ostracized by the public, they will be judged by history, and the most distant posterity will pronounce with horror the odious names of hypocrite Guillaume, and coward and traitor Napoleon III. "
