Description | Architects John Burgee (left) and Philip Johnson (right) pose with a model of the College of Architecture building. The College of Architecture building houses the Gerald D. Hines College of Architecture, the William R. Jenkins Architecture and Art Library, and the Sasakawa International Center for Space Architecture. Hines donated funds for the naming of the college rather than the building. The building was dedicated and occupied in May of 1986, with the groundbreaking ceremony on April 16, 1984. The architects were Philip Johnson, John Burgee, and the Morris and Aubrey firm. |
