Date approximately 1873
Description A printed engraving of an African-American magnolia vendor, a common sight in Houston at the time. One of six sketches made in Houston by an artist who was accompanying journalist Edward King of "Scribner's Monthly" in 1873, when the city was recovering from Reconstruction.
