Houston Soap By CAROLYN ROBERTS Past Events The Brotherhood of Pain and the Ripcord held a Slave Auction last Sunday. $1515 was raised to be donated to the Colt 45's Trouble Fund! Good work! There will be a check presentation to the Colt 45's on Sat. June 22, at 10:00 p.m. at the Ripcord. "Angels over (the) Montrose" Clinic was held at the Venture-N this past Saturday. Over $4300 was raised for the psychotherapy unit of the Montrose Clinic. A special angel hug to Steve Clements for his more than generous donation. Congrats to Byron Norton, the 1st Mr. Montrose. This competition was held at the Brazos River Bottom this past Sunday! Congrats to Ken Claude, the new Daddy of Montrose! This competition was held at Mary's, naturally last Sunday! Congrats to Tori Savage on winning the Miss Gay Life Today PWA Sweetheart Pageant this past Sunday at E/J's. Friday, June 21 "Heel Thyself" tonight at Pumped Up on Art. This benefit is sponsored by Channel 13 KTRK, Neiman-Marcus Town and Country, La Strada. and Mal- eman Funzine. Absolutely fabulous footware of the famous will be on display and auction. Celebs like Gloria Estefan, Dionne Warwick, the Pointer Sisters, Loni Anderson, Sally Jesse Raphael, and RuPaul have donated a pair of their pumps for this fundraiser for the Names Project, Milam House, the Gay & Lesbian Switchboard, the Texas Lesbian Conference, and the Pride Committee of Houston.
