On Saturday. 2/25. the Venture-N
opened its stage to raise money for the
Names Project. A whopping total of
$1161.50 was raised to help bring the
quilt to Houston. Congrats to all
involved!
On Sunday, 2/26, Mr. and Miss Gentry. Thomas Rodriguez and Caiia Lee
Love hosted "Flashback Follies" as
a fundraiser for Soiree Aubergine
benefiting the Bering Care Center
Meals Program. A record $738 was
raised from the annual event. Performers included: Paivi Lee Love,
Christopher Graham. Black Velvet,
Vanessa Rae. Kofi. Emperor XI Jerry
Morin, Miss Galvesion Veronica
Devoe. Oscar Ramon, and many others.
The Houston appearance of Marco
Rossi was a "'huge" success. Mart."
has realty learned how to "please" a
crowd! Leave il to Heaven to constantly bring us some of the hottest
adull video stars in the country!
The Silk Stocking Ball al Moody Gar
dens this past Saturday night was a sell
out! Over 750 people attended, from as
far away as New York and California. I
saw many faces from Houston. There
are no figures in yet. bui I'm sure that a
substantial amount was raised for the
AIDS Coalition of Coastal Texas!
Friday, 3/3
Registration for L.U.E.Y Weekend
starts tonight ai the Venture-N at 8:00
p.m. The first of many cockiail parlies
starts at 9:00 p.m.
Pul on those bell bottoms and get ready
for the "Disco Ball Party" ai Rich's
tonight! Trash Disco will be in full
swing with great music, videos, fun
performances and of course, hundreds of free mirror ball necklaces to
tie given away. "This is ihe firsi in a
series of groovy Disco parties lined
up" says Dave Hemmer. Production
Manager of Rich's. So. keep your eyes
open for what's coming!
Soiree Aubergine's "La Soir Au
Cabaret" is tonighl at the Penthouse. There will be many performers
for this ever so important fundraiser.
The Penthouses kilchen is open
tonight. Be sure to call for reserva
tions and menu selections. The tables
go fast 'cuz the ever changing menu is so
good!
Saturday, 3/4
The Mr. Toy Box Contest is tonight
starting al 11:00 p.m. There are 4 categories: GQ Wear. Talent, Personal
Statement Wear, and Interview. My
favorite category is the Personal
Statement Wear. The rules state:
"There are so many ways lo be a man
loday thai our contestants will have a
great time with this category.
Although basically anything goes,
we must point out that full nudity is not
allowed by law in the bar (oh dear!)."
The winner will receive $125 in cash
plus other neat stuff. If you would like

Erica's Showcase at the Lazy J tonight
features the talents of: Misty Val-
dez. Brandi Housion-Miss Lazy J, and
Tracie. The show starts at 11:00 p.m,
but you might want to gel there early as
the good seals in the house go early!

Dizinger Art Gallery today from 2:00
