Just deposit cards and other mail in any collection box anytime Sunday or Monday morning on your way to work for speedy processing and delivery. □ New Birth One of the biggest contributors to our community'is Pat Wright of Shirrom School of Belly Dancing, 2.306 Genes- see. Never one to deny a favor, she has come forth with the magic needed to fill up the living nativity scene. Three weeks ago Pat gave birth to Patrick Robert Wright who will make his acting debut in a starring role. If you recall the wonderful Westheimer Art Festival in October when the belly dancers joined the Montrose Cloggers for the street dance under the direction of David Royalty, you have seen the wonderful people of the Shirrom School. Look at those gifts waiting at TLC, the Annex on Missouri Street □ Christmas in Montrose This Saturday is the big Happy Holly- daze AIDS benefit at the Tower Theater. Thanks to The 611's Steve Shimer, the tickets are being distributed for resale at the bars. Although this makes them easier to get, there are some remaining at the box office. Only $10 gains admittance to what should be a great show and benefits a worthy cause. Talk about a twofer. FYI: stars like the ever-popular Babs of Happy Hours Daddys fame will be featured. d Dec. 14: Christmas in Montrose Day VIPS are expected at Mary's for the lighting of the community Christmas tret- on Sunday at 5:30 p.m. Council- members Eleanor Tinsley and George Greanias are expected. Clintine CashionwWl represent the mayof in proclaiming Sunday. Dec. I I, as Christmas in Montrose Day The Montrose Sym- Craig gets a lift from Jeff at the Ripcord phonic Band under the direction of Andy Mills will perform with the MCCR choir. After the lighting, the crowd is invited to carol at 1413 Westheimer, Ncartown's Firehouse for "The Night Before Christmas'' featuring Santa Claus, Loretta Simon's Salt Water Taffy Jazz Dance Theatre, First Friday Poets led by Bob Clark. Jack Stowers Symphonic Kazoo Band, and Sister- song. Around 7:30 the scene moves to the living nativity scene under the awnings at The Houston Sign Co. Drew and Welch; the neighborhood between W. Gray to Waugh to Fairview hottest —the recent Ureal The Ripcord or their anniversary party. Vince and Gary carried their customers over into the bar's fifth year in grand style. The food was, well, pardon the cliche, fan tastic Not your standard free fare, but real "good stuff." With the music, great staff and wonderful patrons, last Monday extended the weekend hy one more glorious day. Kim and the gang are celebrating their first birthday with a free buffet, well drinks and heer hetween 7:00 and 9:00. Look out [-45, it's gonna be a fun time up north.
