Description | Ms. text includes: Proper of Season, Christmastide, Office at Matins, First and second nocturn. LAYOUT: 2 columns, ruled in lead, very faded (118 x 82 mm). Leroy 00D2, written in 31 lines below top line. SCRIPT: Gothic textualis. Few abbreviations, diacritical sign on Is. Good hand, quite spontaneous. Catchword on the leaf verso. DECORATION: primary initials, 2-line, alternating red and blue. Secondary initials, 1-line, alternating red and blue. Rubrications. Guide letters partially visible underneath the rubrications, in cursive script and subtly traced with the point of the stylus, e.g. the diacritical signs and the sign for the broken word at the end of the Line. PLACE OF CREATION: Northern France or Flanders. |
