Transcript | October 19, 1956 Mr. E. L. Collins Box 2581 Prairie View College Prairie View, .Texas Dear Mr. Collins: Thank you for your recent inquiry about courses in Television Studio Practices and Television Programming/ Since presumably you are a student at Prairie View College, I must point out that to date no Negro has been admitted to the University of Houston. The matter of desegregation is currently a subject of serious study on the part of the University and its Board of Regents. It appears likely that desegregation at the graduate level will be preliminary to admission of undergraduate Negro students. When a final decision has been reached, you will doubtless see press notices about it. y Sincerely, Clanton W# Williams ekr |
