Transcript | ? fny ii <•« THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON Inter-Office Memorandum MAR 8 1956 OFFICE VICE PRESIDENT ACADEMIC AFFAIRS TO Dr. Clanton W. Williams FROM Alfred R. Neumann DEPT. Vice-President, Academic Affairs DATE March 8, 1956 SUBJECT Your Ad Hoc Administrative Committee In casual conversation it has come to my attention that the Catholic Churches in Houston are currently desegregated. At St.Mary's church on Rosedale and Ennis a Negro child was confirmed last year with the white children, and the races are allowed to sit together, or at least are not forced to sit separately. This might possibly be another "Fact bearing on the case". No incidents are known to me. Mr. Vitulli might know more about this. Sincerely, ySi>£fhjl ^ ^U^VH^^y |
