I have to report that to date no Negro has been admitted to the University of Houston. The subject of desegregation is a matter of careful study on the part of the University and its Board of Governors at this time. When a decision is reached, you will most likely hear of it through the press. I suggest, therefore, that you apply for admission to Texas Southern University here in Houston or to some institution closer to your home in Georgia. Sincerely, Clanton W. Williams President ekr |
