New hotels in Portland, London, Rotterdam, Rome and Jamaica and the Place Ville Marie restaurants in Montreal together with The Berlin Hilton, which hotel was previously noncon- solidated because of the political climate, contributed $15,403,185 to 1963 revenues. Properties in Amsterdam, Acapulco and Trinidad, opened during 1962, provided $4,319,721 more revenues in 1963 than in the preceding year. Those operating units which were part of the Corporation for the full 24 months under review and whose operations were consolidated on a consistent basis accounted for a decrease of $8,381,944 in revenues. Excluded from the 1963 consolidation were The Hotel Carrera, for currency reasons, and The Savoy Hilton, now operated under a management contract. These two hotels contributed $7,208,057 to revenues in 1962. Hotels in El Paso and Albuquerque, which were leased to other operators during 1963, accounted for a $868,334 decrease. Revenues of The New York Hilton, The Hilton Hawaiian Village, The Savoy Hilton, The Hongkong Hilton, The Montreal Aeroport Hilton and the Kansas City and Milwaukee Inns, operated under management agreements, are not included in consolidated revenue. Management fees from these properties are reflected as an addition to income. The operations of the International hotels located in Athens and Tehran and the management fee from the Tokyo Hilton, opened in 1963, are not included in the consolidated financial results. The hotels in Cairo, Istanbul and Madrid are similarly excluded from consolidation. Income from these hotels is included in consolidated earnings only when received in freely transferable funds. The sources of revenues according to operating departments were as follows: 1963 Rooms $ 96,314,627 Food and beverage 103,064,218 Other operated departments. 17,130,247 Store and office building rentals 4,094,945 Interest on investments 746,045 Other income 5,161,305 1962 $ 95,337,826 100,877,290 16,887,919 4,231,740 808,431 5,103,610 $226,511,387 $223,246,816
