Transcript International Monetary Fund, Washington, D.C. \.%rfSi|H Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. INSTITUTIONAL FOOD SERVICE G. Michael Hostage For nearly three decades, Hot Shoppes, Inc., has operated large-scale institutional feeding and food management services. Established in 1937 as an addition to the company's public feeding facilities, Hot Shoppes' Institutional Food Service operations today include full management responsibilities as well as the actual preparation and service of food. Our clients in this highly specialized field now range from large hospitals to industrial plants, schools and government installations. Through the years, Hot Shoppes' national stature in the institutional food service field has been achieved by the company's exceptional ability to maintain economical feeding operations in accordance with the most exacting requirements. For example, Hot Shoppes is privileged to serve several of the nation's leading hospitals in the Washington area, including the modern 800-bed Washington Hospital Center, the 336-bed Sibley Memorial Hospital, the 100-bed Jefferson Memorial Hospital and the 225-bed Children's Hospital of the District of Columbia. Hot Shoppes also provides in-plant feeding for several large industries as far west as Iowa. Industrial clients include such major organizations as the Ford Motor Company, E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company and General Electric Corporation. The company also serves large government installations, including the U.S. Treasury, the International Monetary Fund and the Smithsonian Institution's new Museum of History and Technology. For each of these clients, Hot Shoppes operates large, modern cafeterias, supplying the professional supervision of company specialists in all areas of food service operations—from planning and testing of menus to food procurement and personnel training.
