Transcript 10 Sheraton's Specialized Services Reservations "Reservatron II," Sheraton's new Royal Reservation Service, permits confirmation of hotel reservations in seven seconds in 115 cities throughout the United States and Canada. Room availability for six different rate categories can be stored for one year. Training to Improve Guest Services Sheraton's Management Training Program, now nine years old, has placed 21 "graduates" in general and resident managers' positions with Sheraton hotels and motor inns. There are currently 35 trainees, the majority of whom are graduates of university hotel schools, receiving a two-year program in all Sheraton hotel departments. Training seminars have also been held at Boston headquarters for maitre d'hotels, superintendents of service, executive housekeepers, food and beverage directors, executive chefs, reservations managers, and other department heads of major Sheraton hotels. These department heads have conducted similar training sessions to improve guest services in their own hotels. Technical Assistance Sheraton Design & Development, Inc., formed three years ago to provide technical assistance for Company- owned properties, continues to expand its services to franchised and affiliated property owners. This subsidiary not only directs Sheraton's vast rehabilitation programs and creates more efficient hotel engineering operations for its own hotels but also contracts its services in conceptual planning, design, constructional management, and kitchen installation to other hotels, to schools, colleges, and to hospitals.
